Request account and data deletion

Use the steps below to ask that your LifeHub account, household content, and backups be removed or anonymized from the LifeHub app and website.

How to request deletion

  1. Email support@thelifehubapp.com with the subject “LifeHub data deletion request”.
  2. Include your LifeHub account email or user ID, the name of the household you are leaving, and any relevant app version or platform (iOS/Android/web).
  3. Confirm that you own or manage the household data you want deleted and whether you need help transferring ownership to another member before deleting your account.
  4. Once we receive your request, we will respond within 30 days with confirmation and next steps. Most requests are fully processed within 10 business days.

What is removed

We delete personal data that identifies you or your household, including:

  • Account profile data (email, name, preferences, login credentials).
  • Household content such as meals, groceries, budgets, expenses, transactions, savings goals, and shared files.
  • Usage logs, AI prompts, device metadata, and diagnostics that are tied to you personally.
  • Uploaded receipts or attachments stored with Supabase storage.

Automations, analytics reports, or aggregated statistics that cannot be tied back to you remain in anonymized form for fraud prevention, compliance, and product improvement.

Retention and exceptions

While we delete your account data, some records must be retained for legal or regulatory reasons:

  • Transactional or billing records (for example, RevenueCat receipts) may be retained for up to 12 months to satisfy financial audit requirements.
  • Backups and logs are retained for no more than 90 days before they are automatically rotated.
  • Aggregated compliance metrics (totals, counts) are never tied to an identifiable user.

If we cannot delete certain data immediately, we will explain why and remove access to it as soon as legally permitted.
